Mission Statement o First Presbyterian Church “First Presbyterian Church exists to proclaim the Good News o Jesus Christ, to build a ellowship o Christian love, to provide opportunities or spiritual growth, and to serve this community and the world in the Spirit o the Servant Christ.” ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Tere are at least as many concepts about ministry as there are ministers. Along with all the duties and responsibilities o ministry, the call o God or me has always centered around being a pastor. Tat is, to ollow in the manner o Jesus Christ, the Great Shepherd, to care or the ock o God both in church and outside the church. A little over two years ago I came to First Presbyterian Church to simply supply one Sunday. By the grace o God, He has blessed me with a call to serve one o the most unique and loving congregations in my ministry. Te blessing o that call has also become a joy in my lie and to Frances as well. So much so that Frances has now become an ofcial member o this body o Christ. My commitment to God and to this church can be simply, succinctly, but powerully iterated in the mission statement o this congregation. I pray you will use this booklet not only as a directory but as a prayer list as we pursue God’s call and Christ’s service together.
